Ikat Loafers Men – Coal

Ikat handloom in black and greige runs over the quarters, both sides, the heel counter, the forefoot and the toe, with a black pebble grain leather apron set over the instep. Footwear for kurta with a pair of red leather tassels on a knotted cord, loafer shoes for kurta pajama with no lace, buckle or strap, and kurta pajama shoes for men carrying a real handloom rather than a print. Shoes for ethnic wear, red lined over a tan medallion.

Banjaaran Studio revisits ikat as an expression of modern classics. The handloom is dyed before it is woven, so the greige zigzags and arrowheads carry the soft feathered edges that only ikat produces, and no two lengths of the cloth fall the same way across a pair. Handcrafted in India, made to order.

• Black pebble grain leather apron panel set over the instep, plain and unpatterned, with a narrow band of the same ikat crossing the vamp above it
• Black leather trims, with piping outlining the topline and the apron panel
• Slip-on with no laces, buckle or strap
• Handmade tassels, a pair in red leather hanging from a knotted cord at the centre of the vamp
• Crimson cushioned interiors, red leather lining and footbed with a tan brown embossed roundel medallion at the heel
• Round toe
• A row of stitching around the sole edge
• Engraved Banjaaran rivet, a small round gold rivet on each side of the heel counter
• Brown stacked heel and midsole in layered wood tones over a dark outsole, 24mm heel height

Care: brush the handloom gently with a soft dry brush. Wipe the leather with a dry cloth, keep away from excess moisture, and store with shoe trees to hold the shape.
