Cranium Loafers Men – Crimson

Mens red slip on shoes in smooth leather across the toe, both quarters and the whole heel counter, with a black strip down the centre apron flanked in white hairline piping and four gold skull studs set along it. Loafers on men who would rather not explain the shoe, and men with loafers cut closed at the back with no lace, buckle or gore, finished with one engraved rivet at each heel.

The Cranium line puts a skull where a buckle would go. On the Crimson the strip is black and the shoe underneath is red, so the four studs read as a stripe running nose to tail rather than a band across the foot. Red carries on inside as well, lining and footbed both, which is the one thing none of its siblings do. Handcrafted in India, made to order.

• Crimson leather, smooth and fine grained with a light natural mottling, across the toe, both quarters, the collar, the heel counter, the back and the apron panel
• Crimson and black leather trims: a narrow black strip down the centre of the apron, black rolled piping outlining the apron on all sides, and a second rolled piping around the whole topline and collar
• Two hairline white piping strips flanking the black centre strip along its full length
• Brass skull rivets, four gold tone studs per shoe set in a single line down the black strip, each modelled as a skull with domed cranium, recessed eye sockets and a scored jaw
• Men's, slip-on with a closed heel counter and centre back seam, no lace, buckle, strap or elastic gore
• Round toe
• Crimson cushioned interiors: red lining and red footbed, the only colour running both inside and out
• Fine cream perimeter stitching around the sole edge, over a warm tan to mid brown sole band and a near black layer at ground level
• Stacked heel block in layered tan and brown, heel height 24mm
• Engraved brass 'Banjaaran' rivet on the outer face of each heel counter, offset from the centre back seam
• Made in India, handcrafted and made to order

Care: Wipe with a soft dry cloth, apply leather conditioner occasionally, keep away from excess moisture, and store with a shoe tree in a cool, dry place.
