Giraffe womens casual shoes in cream and black hair-on hide, the coat covering the whole forepart from the pointed toe back to the topline. The Savage line takes its cue from the animals that never needed to announce themselves. On the giraffe the patches crowd closer toward the toe and open out across the vamp, so the hide sets its own rhythm and the bands only frame it. Handcrafted in India, made to order.

• Giraffe hair-on leather across the entire exterior forepart, the toe, the whole vamp and both sides, large irregular polygonal patches in black to dark brown on a cream to pale sand ground, crowding closer together toward the toe
• A smooth black leather band along the topline, running from the open back on each side, cut to a deep V at the instep and rising again, framing the throat on both sides and across the front
• A smooth red leather band directly beneath the black one on the same V line, widest where the V bottoms out at the instep
• Backless with an entirely open heel, no counter, no back strap and no quarter. No fastening of any kind
• Round antique brass studs, domed and plain faced, in a single line along the black band on both sides, with one larger engraved disc rivet set low on the rear limb of each side
• Two black suede tassels per shoe, flat cut fringe strands gathered under a wrapped suede knot, hanging from the point of the V forward over the vamp
• Red leather lining and a red leather footbed, with an ornate emblem blind embossed directly into the red at the heel seat
• Pointed toe, tapering to a narrow softened tip
• A double row of cream contrast stitching along both edges of the black band, red tonal stitching along the lower edge of the red band, and tonal stitching around the footbed perimeter
• A thin dark sole running flat and level from toe to waist, stepping up by one shallow squared layer at the heel

Care: brush the hair-on upper gently along the lie of the hair with a soft brush, and comb the suede tassels straight with your fingers. Wipe the leather bands with a dry cloth, keep away from excess moisture, and store in a cool dry place.
