TOTEM बोम्बर (Bomber) Sneakers

Funky sneakers with a face built into them, one printed eye per side on a cream panel above a row of white stitched teeth, and a cut claw laid over black leather so the black shows through the gaps. Colourful shoes assembled from separate pieces rather than printed flat, sneakers with red binding the whole collar, and red sneakers on a brass ring at the toe.

TOTEM wears a face, and it is assembled rather than printed on. The eye is a panel. The teeth are stitched. The claw is cut from suede and laid over black leather so the black reads as the gaps between the fingers. A brass ring sits at the toe tip holding a strap that runs the length of the forefoot, the only piece of hardware on the front of any shoe in this line. Handcrafted in India, made to order.

Details:

• Upper: red suede across the throat and lace facings, the forepart wings sweeping over each side of the toe, the centre toe strap, the frames around each eye panel, the rear quarter panels and the cut-out claw appliqué
• Smooth black leather on the large side quarter panels, the toe cap, the tongue, the under-eye bands and the collar surround
• Off-white printed panels carrying one cartoon eye per side, with pinked sawtooth strips running between the black quarter and the red suede, and a chevron panel wrapping the heel
• Smooth red leather rolled as a binding along the full collar line, around the heel and forward down both lace facings
• Antique brass D ring at the toe tip anchoring the centre strap, and a brass dome stud on each heel panel
• White contrast stitching across the black panels, with toothed stitch rows beneath each eye
• Lace-up through punched holes with no metal eyelets

Care: Brush the suede gently with a soft brush along the nap. Wipe the leather panels with a dry cloth, keep away from excess moisture, and store in a cool, dry place.
