Maati बोम्बर (Bomber) Sneakers

A brown sneaker built in two materials, chestnut leather across the toe cap, lace panel and heel counter with a coarse rust weave filling both mid quarters. Leather sneakers laced through punched holes with no metal eyelets, everyday sneakers on one unisex last, stylish casual sneakers over a bright red footbed.

The Maati Bomber is a material translation of India's pottery tradition, कुंभकारी, into contemporary form. Where clay once carried water and memory, leather and craft carry lineage here. It honours the rhythm of the potter's wheel while rejecting the erasure of artisanal knowledge by industrial uniformity, and the rust running through it is the colour of the earth it is named for. Handcrafted in India, made to order.

• Upper: mid chestnut brown pebble grain leather, roughly half the exterior, forming the toe cap and forefoot wrap, the full lace panel and eyestay, the curved side motif bands, the rear heel counter and the tongue
• Coarse rust orange basketweave textile, roughly the other half, on both mid quarter panels, the pointed forefoot side panels, the wedge above the heel counter and the strips flanking the throat
• Black leather binding folded along the full collar topline and around the tongue edge
• Off-white contrast stitching wherever two panels meet, outlining the motif, the eyestay, the toe cap seam and the heel counter
• Lace-up through punched holes with no metal eyelets, on rust orange textile laces cut from the same family as the panels
• Bright red footbed and inner heel wall, under a near black lining at the topline
• Round toe on a moulded one-piece cup sole in dark taupe brown

Care: Brush the woven panels gently with a soft dry brush. Wipe the leather with a dry cloth, keep away from excess moisture, and store in a cool, dry place.
